The United States US has abruptly canceled high-level trade talks with India scheduled for August 2025, Indian media reported Tuesday. The discussions were seen as crucial for expanding economic ties between the two nations.

According to reports, Washington informed New Delhi of the cancellation, but no official reason was provided. Neither India’s Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, nor the US Embassy have commented on the development.

The canceled talks follow years of successful negotiations where both countries signed billion-dollar agreements boosting cooperation in trade, technology, defense, and energy.
