The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched a revolutionary project to provide housing to government employees on instalments.

For this purpose, the provincial assembly has formally approved the “Government Servants Housing Foundation Bill”, which is being described as a major step towards meeting the housing needs of employees.
According to officials, the main objective of this scheme is to provide quality and peaceful housing to government employees during their service and after retirement. Due to low income, most employees are deprived of building their own homes, in view of which this project will provide a great facility.
Under this bill, a small amount will be deducted from the monthly salaries of government employees as installments, which will be deposited in the Housing Foundation Fund. Low-cost housing projects will be developed from these funds, where employees will be provided with houses or plots according to their financial capacity.
The project will pay special attention to design and quality, keeping in mind the models of modern housing societies. This facility will not only be provided in Peshawar but also in other districts of the province so that employees from remote areas can also benefit.
