Govt ensuring relief for flood victims: Pir Musavir Khan

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Forests, Environment, Wildlife, and Climate Change, Pir Musavir Khan, has said that the provincial government is taking every possible measure for the rehabilitation of flood-affected people. Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is personally supervising the relief and rehabilitation activities. He emphasized that public cooperation is essential to cope with the impacts of climate change.

He expressed these views during a meeting in his office with Member Provincial Assembly Johar Ali and delegations from various districts of the province. On this occasion, people informed the Special Assistant about their problems, some of which were resolved on the spot, while for others, instructions were issued to the concerned authorities.

Speaking to the delegations, Special Assistant Pir Musavir Khan said that concrete steps are being taken for the province’s development, public welfare, and the prosperity of the people. In the flood-affected areas, relevant departments are active, and along with rehabilitation measures, compensation is also being provided to affected people. He further stated that a large-scale tree plantation campaign has been launched in the province, urging the public to plant as many saplings as possible, as trees are a guarantee for the survival of future generations.

the Special Assistant made it clear that illegal tree cutting will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He said that concerned officials have been instructed to take strict legal action against those involved in illegal tree cutting.
