ISLAMABAD: The two journalists who were tortured during Aleema Khan’s media talk have agreed to reconcile. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar reached Adiala Jail and apologised to the journalists for the incident and expressed regret.
He said that what happened was completely wrong and should not have happened. Barrister Gohar hugged the two journalists who were tortured and assured them that PTI’s manifesto is to remain peaceful, and workers are always advised to remain peaceful. He said that Aleema Khan does not come before the media for a political agenda but in support of her brother, Imran Khan.
He said that they strongly condemned the incident after the apology of the Chairman of PTI. The two journalists announced reconciliation and decided to end the matter.
On the same occasion, Barrister Gohar also mentioned the blocking of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s passport and the obstacle to his travel to Afghanistan. He said that the recent floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have caused severe devastation, which has damaged agriculture and people’s lives, and many people are still missing. Barrister Gohar urged the federal government to take a big step to help the flood victims.
He announced support of five lakh rupees to the families of the two brothers who died, which has been dedicated to helping the victims. He said that the people of the area and the government are working together to serve the victims.
