ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) spokesperson Aslam Ghauri on Friday accused Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur of slandering Maulana Fazlur Rehman and conspiring to widen the rift between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and JUI-F.
In a strongly worded statement, Ghauri claimed that Gandapur’s statements were aimed at derailing the formation of a grand opposition alliance, which he said would ultimately benefit the government. “When the opposition alliance is close to being formed, conspiratorial elements start working,” he alleged.

Ghauri further stated that PTI’s real threat was not from external forces but from “internal conspiracies,” urging the party leadership to rein in such elements. He questioned whether Gandapur’s remarks reflected PTI’s official stance, demanding clarification from the party.
The JUI-F spokesperson also criticized the current leadership, claiming that the president, prime minister, and interior minister were “not qualified” for their positions. He reiterated Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s announcement that a decisive movement would be launched after Eid.
Ghauri warned that the opposition alliance should not be seen as a sign of weakness, adding that Gandapur’s actions stemmed from fear of a united opposition threatening his government.
