Section 144 imposed in Khyber, Bannu ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr

KHYBER: The district administration of Bannue and Khyber have imposed Section 144 in the districts, prohibiting public gatherings of more than five people, aerial firing and display of weapons to maintain law and order situation.
As per details, Deputy Commissioner Khyber, Capt (R) Bilal Shahid Rao issued an order under section 144 banning aerial firing, fireworks, toy weapons, and setting fires at tourist and plantation sites.

Motorcycle one-wheeling is also prohibited. The order will be in effect from midnight on March 30 until midnight on April 5 covering a period of six days.

Violators will face legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code. A letter has been sent to all Assistant Commissioners and the District Police Chief for implementation.M

eanwhile, Bannu District Administration has imposed a complete ban on several activities to ensure safety and maintain order.

The following actions are prohibited from March 30 to April 5, 2025:

  • Manufacturing, selling, purchasing, and using toy guns
  • Use of firecrackers and pressure horns
  • One-wheeling and reckless motorcycle riding
  • Pillion riding
  • Use of tinted windows in vehicles
  • Aerial firing
  • Loud music and DJ programs

Strict legal action will be taken against those who violate Section 144 in both districts.
