Ikhtiar Wali Khan Labels PTI Rule as ‘Most Corrupt in History

ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister’s Coordinator and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ikhtiar Wali Khan on Saturday expressed confidence in Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, stating that the country is now on the right path toward progress.

Speaking about the recent reduction in electricity prices, Khan said the decision had brought relief to the public and affirmed that the premier would continue to deliver “good news” every month.

Responding to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s remarks, Khan claimed that only Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members were upset over the power tariff reduction. He alleged that PTI had fractured into multiple factions, with its founder no longer in control.

Accusing the previous PTI government of unprecedented corruption, Khan questioned whether the blame should fall on CM Gandapur or the PTI founder. He described PTI’s tenure as “the most corrupt in Pakistan’s history” and claimed the party had initially assumed power through unfair means.

Khan further alleged that PTI’s leadership was still seeking backchannel negotiations to regain political footing.
