ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Senator Azam Swati revealed that he has begun contacts with the establishment with the permission of PTI founder Imran Khan. Speakingto aprivate news channel, Swati confirmed he will meet a “special personality” next Wednesday and expressed optimism about the success of the dialogue process.
Swati stated that he is coordinating with former President Dr. Arif Alvi and other PTI leaders for the talks, emphasizing that negotiations are not a sign of weakness but a necessity for Pakistan’s stability. He also hinted at possible involvement from “friendly countries” in facilitating discussions.

The PTI leader shared that he met Imran Khan in Adiala Jail on April 2 after multiple attempts, where Khan granted him permission to engage in talks. Swati dismissed criticism from within PTI, asserting that his efforts are solely for the nation’s benefit.
