Peshawar police bust gang involved in robbery

PESHAWAR: The police station Khan Raziq Shaheed, police have arrested a three-member gang involved in a robbery that took place four days ago in the limits of the police station.

It was said by the police officials of Khan Raziq Shaheed Police Station of City Division here on Monday while producing the suspects before the media.

The Police said the gang that had snatched Rs2.9 million from a currency trader four days ago had been apprehended.

They said the investigation team traced the gang during the investigation on modern scientific lines and arrested three accused.

The arrested accused include Muhammad Wali, Majeedullah and Nawab.

Currency trader Faqir Muhammad had reported at the police station about the theft of Rs2.9 million from his outlet.

The police have also recovered the amount of Rs2.9 million snatched from the trader.

The accused confessed to their involvement in the crime as planned during the initial investigation.
