After a consecutive rise, the price of 24 karat gold per tola experienced a significant drop of Rs. 11,700 on Wednesday, bringing it down to Rs. 352,000 from Rs. 363,700 reported on the previous trading day, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price for 10 grams of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs. 10,031, settling at Rs. 301,783, compared to Rs. 311,814.
The cost of 10 grams of 22 karat gold also fell by Rs. 9,195, dropping to Rs. 276,644 from Rs. 285,839.
In contrast, the rates of silver saw an increase, with per tola silver rising by Rs. 16 to Rs. 3,457. The price of ten grams of silver also went up by Rs. 13, reaching Rs. 2,963.
In the international market, gold prices decreased by $116, falling from $3,454 to $3,338, while silver prices increased by $0.16, rising to $32.93, as reported by the Association.
