PESHAWAR: Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), visited the Azam Park Sheikhabad payment campsite in Peshawar on Wednesday to oversee the distribution of quarterly Kafaalat stipends to eligible women.

During her inspection, she directed staff to ensure a respectful environment for beneficiaries, particularly elderly and underprivileged women. She emphasized cleanliness and the availability of clean drinking water at the site.

Senator Khalid clarified that the BISP survey process is free, with no forms or fees required. She urged women not to revisit the site unnecessarily, as surveys cannot be repeated within two years. Beneficiaries were advised to register active mobile numbers and avoid changing them, as these are vital for communication and payments.

She warned against any unauthorized deductions from stipends, stressing that recipients must collect the full amount and demand a receipt. Complaints about misconduct or deductions can be reported via the BISP helpline (0800-26477) or at local offices.

“BISP is committed to transparency and dignity. Exploitation of beneficiaries will not be tolerated,” she stated.
