PESHAWAR: Central President of the Awami National Party Senator Aimal Wali Khan, while describing the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s press conference on the resettlement of good Taliban and their release from jails as a confirmation of his position and said that Pashtuns have only one way to save their lives, and that is unity and truth.
In a statement on X, he said that the Chief Minister should also make Public the secret agreement that General Bajwa, General Faiz and Barrister Saif had made with the Taliban, which was also signed by Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi.
Reacting on the social networking website X after the Chief Minister’s press conference, Aimal Wali Khan said that under that agreement, 40,000 “official guests” were brought and 102 people were released from jails. What points were agreed upon in that agreement? Will Barrister Saif, as the spokesperson of the provincial government, tell the media what was agreed upon in this secret deal?
Which group reneged on this agreement — the state or the same “state guest”? He said that the Chief Minister’s current position is 100% correct, but now it is time for the nation to be informed of the whole truth. The Chief Minister’s confession today once again proved my position correct.
“For years, I have been raising my voice against the resettlement of the Taliban, fought battles and made every effort to bring the facts to light—today everything has become clear before the nation” He narrated on his X account.
Whoever committed this crime must be brought to justice. Aimal Wali Khan further said that the main requirement of the National Action Plan is that the facilitators should be exposed and punished. My position has always been clear.
“Pakhtunkhwa was ruined by the same forces that were involved in resettling the Taliban and releasing them from prisons. I went to the courts for this confession, but my voice was suppressed. Today, the Chief Minister of the same party whose workers abused me yesterday is confirming my stance. The truth cannot be suppressed—today the truth is clear to all” Aimal remarked.
