PESHAWAR :The Awami National Party (ANP) has strongly opposed the proposed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP Mines and Minerals Act 2025, calling it an attack on the province’s resources and sovereignty.
ANP’s provincial president, Mian Iftikhar Hussain, stated that the new law goes against the spirit of provincial autonomy and violates the 18th Amendment of Pakistan’s Constitution. He accused the government of trying to impose federal control over KP’s mineral resources.
