Anti-corruption team arrested Lakki Jail accountant involved in illegal recruitment

FIRs recommended against Mardan contractors over fund misuse in Atif Khan’s constituency

PESHAWAR: The Anti-Corruption Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa arrested an accountant of Sub-Jail Lakki Marwat over the Illegal Recruitment of a person and registered Registered FIR against him.

A Complaint was received regarding illegal recruitment in Lakki Marwat Sub-Jail, and in this connection Anti-Corruption team Khyber Pakhtunkhwa launched an enquiry against the accused Latifullah for his alleged involvement in the illegal recruitment case.

After proving the allegation, Lakki Marwat Police arrested him and registered an FIR against the accused Latifullah. Police said that further investigation is underway and important information are expected to be revealed.

It is pertinent to mention that earlier to NAB arrested a contractor in the Kohistan scandal, where billions of rupees were recovered from him in one of the mega corruption scandals in the history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The alleged accused has also requested for plea bargain but the NAB official has turned down his request for the plea bargain. There are reports the accuse have been agreed to hand overs assets of billions of rupees to the National exchequer.
