ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s top military leaders, including Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Naval Chief, and Air Chief, have strongly pledged their support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on Youm-e-Istehsal (Kashmir Exploitation Day).
In a unified statement, the armed forces condemned India’s harsh military control over Kashmir, including human rights abuses and attempts to change the region’s population makeup. They called India’s actions a clear violation of international law and UN resolutions.
The military leaders emphasized that Kashmiris have the legal right to self-determination and that Pakistan will continue to back their peaceful struggle for freedom. They warned that lasting peace in South Asia is impossible without a fair solution to the Kashmir issue, based on the will of the Kashmiri people.
The Pakistan Armed Forces also honored Kashmiri martyrs and promised to stand firmly with Kashmiris in their fight for justice. The statement comes as tensions remain high between India and Pakistan over the disputed region.
Pakistan’s military urged the international community to take notice of India’s oppressive actions in Kashmir and support a peaceful resolution to the long-standing conflict.
