BAJAUR: The sole female nursing college in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP merged tribal districts, constructed in Bajaur two decades ago at a cost of millions, remains non-functional due to government neglect. The unfinished building now lies in ruins, forcing female students from Bajaur and neighboring Mohmand to seek education in distant parts of KP and country.

Local journalist Mian Waqas told Pakhtun Digital, “It’s tragic that this millions of project is crumbling while girls fight tribal norms to get an education.” Emotional students appealed for immediate action, with one pleading: “The government must operationalize this college to secure our futures.”

The stalled project highlights systemic failures in developing educational infrastructure for tribal women’s.
