Bodies of two more victims of boat incident in Libya brought to Parachinar

KURRAM: The bodies of two more youths, Hasnain and Hassan Mustafa, who were martyred in a boat sinking incident in Libya, have been brought to Parachinar district, Kurram.

The family members waited for a long time to find the bodies. The bodies of Hasnain and Hassan Mustafa will be buried in their native village of Mali Khel today. The two youths went missing after the boat accident on February 05 while trying to reach Italy.

The bodies of sixteen Pakistanis, including thirteen youths from Parachinar who were martyred in the accident, were brought to Pakistan in the first week of March and buried. After the accident, the Foreign Office confirmed that sixteen Pakistanis were killed and ten were missing in the incident.

The bodies of the two youths, Wasim Abbas and Ishtiaq Hussain, were brought to Parachinar on Saturday. Six Pakistanis are still missing in the boat accident. Jabir Hussain, father of Wale Hassan Mustafa, says that my son left home after getting fed up with the unrest in the area, and after visiting today, they found his body dead.

Former Federal Minister for Overseas Affairs Sajid Turi, who hails from Kurram district, says that due to prolonged unrest and unemployment in Kurram district, people prefer to go abroad, and in search of a better future, many youths lose their lives.

Member of the National Assembly and MWM parliamentary leader Engineer Hameed Hussain says that if steps are not taken for employment and peace in the country, particularly in merged areas, the youth will leave the area to work for the development of other countries.

Tribal leader Jalal Bangash says that such incidents are regrettable and it is necessary to prevent them. Deputy Commissioner Kurram District Ashfaq Ahmed says that he regrets the loss of precious lives in the boat accident. He said that steps are being taken to prevent such incidents in the future, as many human smugglers from different parts of the country have been arrested.
