PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, while talking to a private TV program on Wednesday said that he has strong bonds with the chief of army staff, General Syed Asim Munir and he always supported him for the betterment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly in the NFC award issue.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said that for political stability, the PTI founder (Imran Khan) must come out.
While talking on a private TV program, Ali Amin Gandapur said that Imran Khan has not officially given him the responsibility of any negotiations, but I would still talk about his release.
Reacting to the incident of bitter words between Aleema Khan and PTI lawyers outside Adiala Jail, Ali Amin Gandapur said that some party leaders want to get close to the party leadership through meetings instead of performance. “I am an ideological political worker and believe in work instead of criticising party leaders. I could not enslave anyone to get into someone’s ‘good book’.
He further emphasised “I admit that I have good relations with our Army Chief, there may be differences on some issues, but he has the support of the Army chief in the interest of the country and the province, especially in the NFC award, the Army Chief is providing full support and guidance.
There is no issue in granting nationality to Afghans as this practice continues globally
While talking on Samaa TV program Live with Nadeem Malik, in response to a question asked regarding the expulsion of Afghans, he said that if the Afghans were seeking Pakistani citizenship, then why can’t they be given it?
If European countries can give citizenship to citizens of other countries, then why can’t they give citizenship to Afghans in Pakistan? Giving citizenship to Afghans can bring an investment of four to five billion in the province.
He further said that millions of Afghans were residing in the parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A comprehensive policy should be made in this regard. Just issuing an order was not enough.
Regarding the action against social media users in the statement of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Ali Amin Gandapur said that he was present in the meeting.
The talk of action against those who spread anti-state propaganda on social media was related to anti-state activities by miscreants. There was no such talk in the meeting regarding the social media of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
