KURRAM: The government has demolished 990 illegal bunkers in parts of Kurram after the Kohat peace agreement and deadly clashes in the region.
According to the Kurram administration, the bunkers demolition operation was completed, and 990 bunkers were demolished across the targeted area.
The demolition of the fronts has been completed for sustainable and long-lasting peace and order in the district.
The operation was launched in the district under the Kohat Peace Agreement a few months ago, and both groups’ bunkers were demolished.
The forces destroyed the bunkers with explosives, while police and security forces took part in the operation along with the revenue officers from the district.
The details noted that 353 bunkers of both parties have been demolished in Lower Kurram so far, whereas a total of 637 fronts were demolished in Upper Kurram.
It said 990 bunkers have been demolished so far after the Kohat Peace Agreement, District Administration and the operation concluded successfully.
