Court barres authorities from arresting Salman Akram Raja

ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad on Monday barred authorities concerned from arresting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja in connection with four cases of November 26 protest.

As per details, the ATC judge Abul Hasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain heard the pre-arrest bail application of Salman Akram Raja in four cases.

During the hearing, the court stayed the arrest of Salman Akram Raja in four cases and extended his interim bail.
Judge Abul Hasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain heard the bail applications, Salman Akram Raja filed an application for exemption from appearance.

The court, while accepting the application for exemption from appearance, adjourned the hearing of the pre-arrest bail applications until May 5.

On the other hand, Shehryar Afridi, Shera Afzal, Abdul Qayyum Niazi, Rauf Hassan appeared in the court of ATC Islamabad in the case of the November 26 protest against PTI leaders.

Judge Abul Hasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain, while hearing the pre-arrest bail applications of the PTI leaders, extended the interim bail of the four leaders until May 5.

Cases have been registered against the PTI leaders in Tarnol, Secretariat, Kohsar and other police stations.
