KP govt imposes curfew in North Waziristan and Tank districts

Security Alert: Daylong Curfew in South & North Waziristan

PESHAWAR:  Local authorities announced that a curfew will be imposed in parts of North Waziristan and Tank districts on March 19, 2025, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m..

The decision comes amid ongoing insurgency and militant attacks targeting security forces in the region.

The curfew will cover areas from Nawaz Kot Bridge to Dunkan in Tehsil Razmak, as well as from Dunkan to Melogai Bridge in Tehsil Dossali (Razmak-Gardai-Kharseen) in North Waziristan.

Additionally, a curfew will be enforced from Kod Qila to Manzai in Tank district. However, the road from Kod Qila to Gomal and Garhwai Wana will remain open for travel.

The Deputy Commissioner of North Waziristan confirmed the curfew, urging residents to cooperate with security forces and avoid unnecessary travel during the curfew hours.

The measure is part of ongoing efforts to maintain security and curb militant activities in the region.
