Khawaja Asif warns India: ‘enemy will lick wounds on western border too’

SIALKOT: Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif issued a strong warning to India on Saturday, stating that the enemy on the eastern border is “licking its wounds” and will soon face the same fate on the western frontier.

Speaking to journalists, Asif accused India of waging a proxy war against Pakistan through terrorist groups like the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). *”These terrorists are Indian agents, and their fate will be the same as the Indian Air Force,”* he said, referencing Pakistan’s downing of an Indian warplane in 2019.

The minister mocked India’s failed military aggression, saying, *”Kites are not cut in Basant the way Indian planes were cut. They brought big planes with big reputations, but our forces made them fall like kites.”* He warned that any future Indian attack would be met with an even stronger response.

Praising Pakistan’s armed forces, Asif said their bravery and sacrifices would be remembered in history books.
