ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister, Bakhtiyor Saidov.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, both leaders reviewed progress on the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan railway project during their discussion.
They also consulted on the early finalisation of the framework agreement for the trilateral railway initiative.
The Foreign Office stated that the two sides discussed the signing ceremony’s modalities and engagement with Afghan leadership. The railway project was described as a milestone for regional connectivity and trade development.
