Ex-servicemen’s body announces protest against terrorism

 

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society on Tuesday announced a protest movement against the current wave of terrorism across the country.

In this regard, a big protest will be held in Lahore on Sunday, in which various personalities are expected to participate.

They made this statement during a protest rally held in Rawalpindi on Tuesday. The rally was attended by large number of the Ex-Servicemen community.

They said a protest would be held outside the Quetta Press Club against terrorism, in which solidarity would be expressed with the military.

Similarly, a big demonstration will be held outside the Rawalpindi Press Club under the Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society, in which complete solidarity with the Pakistan Army will be expressed.

Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society leader Aziz Ahmed Awan said that the increasing terrorism in the country is unacceptable and the massacre of innocent citizens is regrettable. He demanded that the state must take strict action against terrorists and eradicate them.

Aziz Ahmed Awan further said that political parties should be aware, that propaganda against the Pakistan Army is unbearable. He said that calls for protest come from Adiala Jail but terrorism is not condemned, which is a worrying matter.

He demanded that the government ban such parties that are working against the integrity of the country. The attack on the train is a violation of human rights, but there is no condemnation of it, which is regrettable.

While talking to the media, Commodore Arshad Mahmood Khan, Secretary General of the Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society, said that Pakistani soldiers are lighting the candles of peace in the country with their blood. He said that attacks on unarmed civilians during the holy month of Ramadan are open terrorism and the international community should take notice of it.

Arshad Mahmood Khan also criticised the Western media, saying that it is trying to protect terrorists by calling them activists, which is unacceptable.

During the protest, candles would be lit for the martyrs and the commitment to protect the country’s security would be reiterated.

The Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society has demanded that the state take decisive action against terrorists and take immediate steps.

The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army to thwart the intentions of anti-national elements.
