KOHAT: At least two people lost their lives in an explosion that occurred inside a house in the Darra Adam Khel area of Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to police, the blast completely destroyed the house’s structure. Rescue teams retrieved the bodies of two individuals from the rubble. Authorities confirmed that the house was vacant at the time of the explosion.
Investigations are underway to identify the deceased, while the Bomb Disposal Squad is examining the site to determine the exact cause and nature of the blast.
Just a day earlier, a similar tragic incident took place in Quetta, where two people were killed and seven others injured in a powerful explosion near the Killi Mangla area. Police believe the blast was a targeted attack on tribal leader Abdul Salam Bazai.
Among those killed were Bazai and his brother Abdul Nafay Bazai. Rescue teams swiftly reached the scene, shifting the injured and deceased to a nearby hospital. The area was cordoned off, and police began collecting evidence to ascertain the nature of the blast.
