Fisherman dies in riverbank explosion in DI Khan

A fisherman was killed in an explosion while fishing in Dera Ismail Khan. The blast took place while fishing at Ghafarewala Dam in the Indus River.

Police said in initial information that the unfortunate fisherman named Huzoor Bakhsh Sindhi had an explosive material stuck in his net. Huzoor Bakhsh Sindhi died on the spot due to the explosion.

Police are investigating the incident to see if the explosive material was on the bank or possibly due to the explosion of a landmine that was floating with the water, or was it a detonator explosion? Police have handed over the body of Huzoor Bakhsh Sindhi to his heirs.
