PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Faisal Karim Kundi has said that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur wants talks with the Afghan Taliban, but has he received a message of goodwill? These are the people (PTI) who have re-imposed thousands of terrorists on the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Talking to the media at the Governor House on Sunday, Peshawar, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor said that it was that PTI which had demanded offices for the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Pakistan. The Chief Minister should tell us why he has not yet gone to the house of any martyr to offer condolences.
He raised the question that apart from the Chief Minister, no member of the cabinet has so far refused to go to the house of any martyr of the terrorism so that his family and children can be convinced that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government stands with them.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had also visited Afghanistan before the elections and that the visit could not continue further.
In reply to a question regarding the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s talks with Afghanistan, he said that neither the TORs have been revealed to date nor has the federal government responded on this issue. If the provincial government says that it has the support of the federal government, then why are they waiting for it? Let’s start the talks with Afghanistan regarding insurgency.
