Governor Kundi hints at big surprise in upcoming KP Assembly session

Afghanistan Must Act Against Terrorists, Says KP Governor

PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has criticised Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur for making contradictory statements inside and outside the .

He hinted at a significant development in the upcoming provincial assembly session scheduled for tomorrow (Friday).

Kundi accused Gandapur of avoiding the Afghanistan issue during the National Security Council meeting but now planning to take a delegation there. He claimed the government had bypassed the speaker to call the assembly session, signalling internal conflicts.

He alleged corruption within the PTI-led government. “They looted the province and now accuse others of corruption. Some say they misused wheat, others claim they are selling jobs,” Kundi said.

He also took a dig at PTI’s internal divisions. “PTI has two factions, like MQM. One abuses Maulana Fazlur Rehman, while the other seeks his leadership,” he remarked.

Kundi criticised PTI leader Azam Swati, calling him Gandapur’s personal spokesperson. He said Swati had pressured the assembly speaker to resign and advised PTI to fix internal rifts before launching a movement against the federal government.

He also questioned the security arrangements for the upcoming Derajat Jeep Rally and Festival. “Can the chief minister himself complete a round on the track after the evening? Who will ensure the safety of guests? If something unfortunate happens, who will take responsibility?” Kundi asked.
