KP Police face 11,000 personnel shortage amid surge in terrorism: IG Hameed

 

PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed has issued an order for the recruitment of 100 pending constables in the Police Telecommunication Unit.

Inspector General of Police, IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed has issued an order to fill up the vacant posts of the police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to combat terrorism and meet the challenges faced by the police.

A statement issued by the KP police states, that it has been decided to start the recruitment of 100 pending constables in the technical unit which have been vacant for a long time.

There was a severe shortage of manpower in the technical wing of KP police due to the retirement of old operators, however, now the posts would be filled in coming days.

In a video message, Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed with the recruitment of constables at the telecommunication unit would help to assist them in technical work.

The Inspector General of Police says that the newly recruited personnel in the force in the coming days will play an important role in enhancing the capacity of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.
