India carried out missile strikes in Bahawalpur, Kotli, Muzaffarabad and other parts of Azad Kashmir late at night.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, confirmed early Wednesday that India carried out missile strikes on Kotli, Bahawalpur, and Muzaffarabad in what he described as a “cowardly attack,” escalating tensions following a recent militant incident in Indian-occupied Kashmir.
Speaking to ARY News at 1:06 a.m., Lt Gen Chaudhry stated, “Some time ago, the cowardly enemy India launched air strikes on the Subhanullah Mosque in Bahawalpur’s Ahmed East area, as well as targets in Kotli and Muzaffarabad. These were launched from within Indian airspace.”

When asked about casualties, Lt Gen Chaudhry said damage assessments were ongoing and details would be shared later. “This temporary happiness that India has achieved with this cowardly act will soon turn into enduring grief,” he added.
According to multiple Reuters witnesses, loud explosions were heard in Azad Jammu and Kashmir near the mountainous areas around Muzaffarabad just after midnight. A power outage followed the blasts, leaving the city in darkness.
Earlier, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif warned that a confrontation with India “can happen anytime” given the current volatility in the region.
