ISLAMABAD: President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) and Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan extended his felicitations to the nation on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the IPP president paid glowing tribute to the scientists, defence experts, engineers, and the political leadership whose combined efforts led to the successful nuclear detonations at Chagai.“I am proud of every individual who contributed to making Pakistan’s defence invincible,” said Mr Khan. “Their dedication and courage turned Pakistan into a nuclear power and a symbol of strength for the Muslim world.”
Mr Aleem Khan said this year’s Youm-e-Takbeer held even deeper meaning in the context of what he termed the ongoing “Mark-e-Haq.” He remarked that the day is not only a reminder of national strength but also of spiritual conviction. “Those who place their trust in Allah Almighty are never disappointed. His mercy is boundless,” he stated. He described the day as an occasion to express national gratitude. “The purpose of celebrating Youm-e-Takbeer is to thank the Almighty and honour those who safeguarded Pakistan’s sovereignty,” he added.
While hailing the achievement, Mr Aleem Khan underlined that Pakistan has always used its nuclear capability responsibly. “Despite possessing a formidable defence, Pakistan has consistently preferred peace,” he noted. “We have always viewed our nuclear programme as a tool for deterrence and a means to maintain a balance of power in the region.” He further said the day served as a symbol of pride not only for Pakistan but for the entire Muslim Ummah. “Youm-e-Takbeer is a day of dignity, superiority, and strength for the Islamic world,” the IPP chief said.
Abdul Aleem Khan also lauded the role of the Pakistan Army, calling its contributions in defending the homeland “a source of national honor.” He praised the military’s unwavering commitment to securing the country’s frontiers and maintaining internal stability. “May 28 serves as a reminder that Pakistan, through unity and faith, became a fortress of Islam. We must carry forward that legacy with responsibility and resolve,” Mr Khan said.
