Islamabad United continue winning streak with victory over Karachi Kings

KARACHI: Islamabad United continued their winning streak with a victory over the Karachi Kings in Pakistan Super League Season X. Islamabad United emerged victorious in their fourth consecutive match of the season 10.

Islamabad United successfully chased down Karachi Kings’ target of 129 runs in just 17.1 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process. Captain Shadab Khan was the standout performer, scoring 47 runs. He was supported by Sahibzada Farhan with 30 runs, Azam Khan with 31 runs, and Muhammad Nawaz with 8 runs.

The match took place at the National Stadium in Karachi, where Islamabad United’s captain, Shadab Khan, won the toss and chose to invite Karachi Kings to bat first. Karachi Kings managed to score 128 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Tim Seifert was their top scorer with 30 runs, followed by Saad Baig with 20 runs, and Khushdil Shah with 17 runs. Abbas Afridi played an aggressive innings, contributing 24 runs off just 9 balls toward the end.

For Islamabad United, both Jason Holder and Naseem Shah, along with Shadab Khan, each took two wickets. Islamabad United is currently in excellent form, sitting at the top of the points table with four consecutive victories, while Karachi Kings have won two out of four matches.
