Israeli strikes near Syria’s Presidential Palace Leave Casualties

Syria Says Israeli Missiles Hit Defense Ministry, Military Sites

Syrian state media reported that Israeli missiles struck areas near the Defense Ministry, military headquarters, and the presidential palace in Damascus. Arab media sources said the attack injured at least 28 people and killed several security personnel.

The Israeli military stated the strikes were in response to increased military activity in southern Syria. They confirmed targeting a military base and an entrance gate near the presidential palace.

According to Reuters, loud explosions were heard in western Damascus, with Syrian air defenses intercepting some missiles. Israeli officials added that they remain in close coordination with their American allies during these operations.
