Islamabad: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Interior, Pervez Khattak, met with Afghanistan’s Acting Ambassador, Maulvi Sardar Ahmad Shakib, to discuss Pakistan-Afghanistan relations.
Both sides agreed to strengthen friendly and cooperative ties while increasing people-to-people contacts. They emphasized that regional peace benefits both nations and called for serious efforts to ensure lasting stability.

The leaders highlighted vast trade opportunities and stressed the need to remove barriers at the Pak-Afghan border. They also proposed setting up a special desk to assist Afghan traders.
Both officials affirmed that stronger Pakistan-Afghanistan relations are crucial for regional prosperity.
