PESHAWAR:Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Asia Jahangir has declared that her party will no longer remain silent in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and will mount a strong hipolitical resistance against the ruling PTI. Speaking on Pakhtun Digital Podcast, Jahangir asserted that KP does not belong to any single party but to all political forces, including the PPP.
Jahangir criticized PTI for its alleged role in the May 9 incidents, where she claimed the party “burned the Pakistani flag,” calling it a mischievous act. She also condemned Malik Azmat’s recent actions while questioning PTI’s past conduct.
The PPP leader strongly denounced the shelling that disrupted a PPP event yesterday, where provincial president Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha was speaking. She said the sudden shelling caused panic, leaving several female workers unconscious.
Jahangir questioned whether protest rights were exclusive to PTI, asking, *”Can’t other parties protest against corruption?”* She emphasized that the PPP will actively assert its presence in KP and advocate for public rights at all levels.
