A meeting was held on Tuesday in Civil Peshawar under the chairmanship of Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for Communication and Works (C&W), Muhammad Sohail Afridi. Secretary C&W, Muhammad Israr, along with all senior officials of the Department, project directors, and relevant officers, attended the meeting. A comprehensive briefing was given regarding the ongoing and proposed development projects in the province.
These projects included the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Integrated Tourism Development Project (KITE), Malakand Infrastructure Project, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Investment and Institutional Project (assisted by the World Bank), and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rural Accessibility Project.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the overall cost of the projects, financial progress, completion status of various phases, availability of land in different regions of the province, results of topographical surveys conducted on the land, master planning, project restoration, and the upgradation of roads and government buildings.
On this occasion, Special Assistant Muhammad Sohail Afridi said that the timely and quality completion of these projects is the top priority of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as these projects will not only provide the public with quality travel facilities but will also serve as a milestone in modernising the province’s infrastructure.

He further stated that all relevant institutions and officers of the C&W Department must perform their duties with dedication, and that there should be no compromise on the quality of the projects. The Special Assistant directed that the pace of work on development projects should be further accelerated so that the people may benefit from them at the earliest.
