KP Chief Minister launches digital governance policy to streamline public affairs

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government initiated another step in the field of digital governance under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, a significant progress of the provincial government towards making government affairs paperless to streamline public affairs.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur signed the first official e-summary as the summaries sent for the approval of the Chief Minister were transferred to e-summary, which was signed in a digital manner.

The first e-summary was received by the Chief Minister through the online system. As soon as it was received, the Chief Minister digitally signed the summary. The launch of e-summary is an important step towards making office affairs and file work paperless.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said that in the next phase, the digital note part is also being launched. The Chief Minister’s official letters, announcements and orders are also being digitised. Similarly, working papers for provincial cabinet meetings and other matters are being transferred to e-summary.

The Chief Minister said that the system is being transferred, and this step will not only save time but also prevent waste of resources. He said that the efficiency of government departments would improve and transparency in office affairs would be ensured.

He added that this important step will eliminate delaying tactics in handling government affairs. The current provincial government is working on digitising government affairs, as well as the process of providing public services

He said his government was taking concrete steps under the Digital Governance Roadmap for this purpose, and the current provincial government has already digitised many public services. He said that they would make the province a digital Khyber Pakhtunkhwa according to the vision of Imran Khan.
