ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police for their heroic efforts in thwarting Khawarij attacks on three police stations.
The KP Police confronted the terrorists head-on and successfully repelled the attacks. Naqvi lauded the bravery of the police force, calling them the vanguard in the fight against Khawarij terrorists.
He saluted the courageous men of the KP Police for consistently standing strong against terrorist threats. “The brave sons of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have always confronted Khawarij terrorists with valor, and they continue to do so,” he said.
Naqvi expressed confidence that, united, the nation would continue to defeat the terrorists’ evil plans. “Inshallah, we will all together foil the intentions of Khawarij terrorists,” he added.
Earlier today, Lakki Marwat police destroyed a banned outlet Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) hideouts in a major operation near the Punjab-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa border.
According to the police, the hideouts were located in the mountains where Lakki Marwat, Karak, and Mianwali districts meet.
Terrorists had been using the camp to launch attacks in nearby areas. Acting on intelligence tip off, a police team led by District Police Officer Jawad Ishaq conducted a search and strike operation in the border region. Security forces used explosives to demolish the TTP hideouts.

Inspector General Zulfiqar Hameed stated that authorities will show no leniency toward terrorists or their shelters. He affirmed that the operation will continue until every last hideout is eliminated. All security institutions are fully supporting the crackdown.
