PESHAWAR: Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Development and Human Resources Chaudhry Salik Hussain spoke to the media in Peshawar, addressing key issues related to his ministry and national affairs.
He discussed the problems faced by overseas workers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and highlighted steps being taken to improve facilities, including hospitals, schools, and residential colonies for expatriate families. The minister revealed that around 2.5 million people from KP go abroad for work every year.
To better serve overseas Pakistanis, the government will soon open new protector offices in DI Khan and Abbottabad, Chaudhry Salik announced.
Praising national unity, the minister said the entire nation has achieved victory through faith and collective effort. He commended Pakistan’s armed forces, particularly the Army Chief’s steadfast leadership during recent tensions with India, describing it as “rock-solid.”
The PML-N leader advised political opponents to engage in constructive criticism rather than baseless accusations, stressing the need for positive thinking in politics. He encouraged youth to explore opportunities abroad while maintaining strong faith, which he said helps overcome all challenges.
