ISLAMABAD: The Public Accounts Committee has expressed displeasure anger over the non-production of a report on sugar prices and has summoned the secretaries of industries, food security and commerce.
A meeting was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Chairman PAC, in which the Public Accounts Committee expressed anger over the non-presentation of a report on the sugar situation.
Yesterday, the Public Accounts Committee summoned federal secretaries of Industries, Food Security and Commerce to brief the members of the PAC on the continuous rise in sugar prices.
Chairman PAC had sought a sugar report from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
The Public Accounts Committee meeting also considered the audit report of Housing and Construction 2023-24. PAC sought details of provincial projects of PWD.

The Housing Secretary said that the federal government will fund the projects, while the provincial governments will implement the projects.
