SLAMABAD: Admiral Naveed Ashraf, chief of the naval staff of the Pakistan Navy called on Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) at the Air Headquarters in Islamabad, and reviewed matters related to operational readiness. A comprehensive briefing was given to the naval chief on operational preparedness and strategic capabilities of PAF, particularly with reference to the current regional geostrategic environment. The chief of air staff reiterated PAF’s unwavering commitment to extend full support to Pakistan Navy, ensuring operational synergy. The chief of naval staff lauded the services of chief of air staff in strengthening defence of Pakistan and his contributions towards tri-service synergy. He appreciated the thorough professionalism of PAF personnel to safeguard the aerial frontiers of Pakistan and expressed his satisfaction at the seamless coordination between sister services. He stressed PAF’s readiness to integrate aerial assets and intel capabilities to bolster operational effectiveness. Both commanders agreed on continuity and enhancement of the existing joint working mechanism. Chief of the Naval Staff also highlighted the dynamic role played by the chief of air staff and acknowledged PAF’s all-out support to Pakistan Navy in strengthening the defence of the motherland. Both the services chiefs expressed complete confidence in the armed forces’ ability to deliver a swift and decisive response to any aggression. They underscored their joint commitment to upholding a robust and impregnable defence architecture. They pledged to continue collaborating efforts to strengthen integrated defence capabilities.
