ISLAMABAD: (PAKHTUN ENGLISH) In a spectacular celebration of Independence Day, the Pakistan Army showcased its impressive defence capabilities at the historic Parade Ground in Islamabad, attracting thousands of enthusiastic citizens from the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

For the first time, the public was given close access to modern military equipment and advanced weaponry, providing a rare glimpse into the strength and technological prowess of the Pakistan Army. The exhibition featured a wide range of combat vehicles, rocket systems, heavy artillery, and other sophisticated defence systems that played a key role in successful military operations, including the renowned Operation Banyan Marsoos.

Citizens of all ages flocked to the venue, capturing the moment with photographs, videos, and countless selfies alongside tanks, armoured vehicles, and missile systems. Children and youth showed particular excitement, while many elderly attendees described the event as a proud reminder of the nation’s resilience and strength.

There was a special interest in the Shahpar II B drone, Fatah missiles I and II, and radar systems that had recently contributed to winning the war against India. “The enthusiasm among people, especially the younger generation, is truly heartening,” said one citizen. “It’s a proud moment to witness our national defence assets up close.”

Military personnel at the event informed citizens about the weaponry, its uses, and success rates. The atmosphere was electric, with patriotic songs playing in the background and national flags waving proudly. Families, students, and professionals turned out in large numbers, celebrating not only the country’s independence but also expressing deep respect for the armed forces.

The event transformed the Parade Ground into a symbol of national unity, strength, and pride, perfectly capturing the spirit of August 14. With emotions running high and the green and white flag flying across the capital, the celebrations reaffirmed the people’s unshakable bond with the nation and its defenders.
