Pakistan arrests Indian terrorist Abdul Majeed near Jhelum Bus stand: DG ISPR

The Director General of Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has said that security forces arrested an Indian-sponsored terrorist, Abdul Majeed, near the Jhelum bus stand. He added that the suspect had been assigned by India to carry out a bomb blast.

Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, is addressing a press conference amid rising tensions between Pakistan and India following the Pahalgam attack.

DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has revealed in an important and urgent press conference that the Indian army is directly involved in terrorist conspiracies in Pakistan.
He said that on April 25, an Indian terrorist was arrested from the Jhelum bus stand, who was sent to carry out terrorist acts in Pakistan. The evidence obtained after the arrest has exposed Indian state terrorism.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif said that despite the passage of seven days since the Pahalgam incident, no evidence has been presented by India, but Pakistan has today presented evidence and proof of India’s terrorism in Pakistan to the media.
During the press conference, WhatsApp chats and call recordings of the arrested Indian officer were shown in which he gives details of contacts with terrorists, financial support and planning of terrorist acts.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif said that despite the passage of seven days since the Pahalgam incident, India has not presented any evidence, but Pakistan has today presented evidence and proof of India’s terrorism in Pakistan to the media.

During the press conference, WhatsApp chats and call recordings of the arrested Indian officer were shown in which he gives details of contacts with terrorists, financial support and planning of terrorist acts.

DG ISPR say they have killed 71 terrorists in the last few days who attempted to infiltrate the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Lt Gen Chaudhry said forensic analysis of the recovered materials provided “irrefutable” evidence, which could be independently verified by any credible international agency.

“The handler was a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of the Indian Army, Subedar Sukvinder,” he revealed. “This officer sent an improvised explosive device (IED) and instructed the terrorist on where to collect it.”

Presenting audio and forensic evidence, Lt Gen Chaudhry said: “This is clear proof that India is involved in orchestrating terrorism in Pakistan using serving officers and JCOs of its own army.”

He further disclosed that the forensic investigation uncovered the involvement of four Indian Army personnel:

  • Major Sandeep Verma, alias Sameer, was identified as the main handler and a commanding officer in Indian-occupied Kashmir.

  • Subedar Sukvinder, alias Sikander.

  • Havildar Amit, alias Adil Aman.

  • An unnamed Indian soldier.

Major Sandeep was allegedly responsible for recruiting Abdul Majeed and is heard in an audio clip discussing operational plans and methods of payment.

“Just listen to what a serving Indian Army major is saying — ‘we conduct terrorism from Balochistan to Lahore.’ He provides details on infiltration routes and terror financing mechanisms,” Chaudhry added.

He described the audio clip as “irrefutable evidence of state-sponsored terrorism,” retrieved from just one terrorist cell dismantled by Pakistani forces.

Chaudhry said Abdul Majeed, trained by Indian operatives, had already executed four IED-based attacks inside Pakistan. He noted that the explosives used were smuggled via drones.

In a related development earlier today, the Pakistan Army shot down an Indian quadcopter drone near the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, according to state media. The incident coincides with continued cross-border firing between Indian and Pakistani forces, now persisting for five consecutive nights after four years of relative calm along the LoC.

During the press conference, WhatsApp chats and call recordings of the arrested Indian officer were shown in which he gives details of contacts with terrorists, financial support and planning of terrorist acts. The DG ISPR further said that he salutes the law enforcement agencies, intelligence agencies, army personnel and the Pakistani nation that they are standing with their eyes in the eyes of the enemy and no one can destroy Pakistan.
