The price of gold in Pakistan rose sharply on Tuesday, continuing its upward trend in both local and international markets. According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the rate of gold per tola increased by Rs 2,100, reaching a new high of Rs 349,200. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs 1,800 to Rs 299,382.

The surge mirrored global trends, where gold prices rose by $21 per ounce, settling at $3,310. Market analysts linked the increase to geopolitical uncertainties and fluctuations in currency exchange rates. Gold remains a preferred safe-haven asset for investors amid economic instability.
