PESHAWAR: Special Representative for Afghanistan Mohammad Sadiq Khan is in Kabul on a three-day visit for diplomatic engagement with Afghan Taliban authorities.
He along with his team reached Kabul late Friday. Today, they will meet some officials of the interim government for talks on various topics of bilateral importance.
Pakistan Foreign Office said Sadiq Khan will discuss bilateral relations with the Afghan interim government.
According to a Foreign Office spokesperson, Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Mohammad Sadiq Khan is on a three-day official visit from March 21 to 23.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said that during this visit, which is being conducted on the instructions of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Mohammad Sadiq Khan will discuss bilateral relations with the Afghan interim government.
The aim of this visit to Afghanistan is to promote cooperation and strengthen relations between the two countries, it added.
