NOWSHERA: Advisor to the Prime Minister and former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khatak, has lashed out at constituents of Nowshera, where he was defeated in the last general elections.
“The decision in the general elections was yours, now don’t complain, keep your hopes attached to the one you voted for,” Former Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak expressed his anger for the people of his constituency in a blunt and unconventional way.
Addressing the people of his constituency here on Sunday in Nowshera bluntly and unconventionally, Advisor to the Prime Minister Pervez Khattak said that he was not elected by the votes of the people but with the support of his friends and supporters.
Addressing a function in Nowshera, Pervez Khattak said that he did not come from your vote; hence, keep your hopes attached to the same people, the ones who made him successful, will solve your problems.
Pervez Khattak said that if the people used their votes for him in the future, then he would serve them.
Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister and Defence Minister Pervez Khattak was defeated by a PTI-backed candidate in both the national and provincial assembly seats in the 2024 general elections.
Mr Pervez Khatak has recently taken an oath as an advisor to the Prime Minister.
He was the defence minister in the previous PTI majority federal government. The government had ended through a no-confidence vote.
