PM Shehbaz Sharif leaves for Belarus on official visit

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif left for Belarus on Thursday. He was accompanied by a high-level delegation.

Reports said the delegation included his brother, Nawaz Sharif, the Chief Minister of Punjab. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar was also part of the team.

Formal talks with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko are scheduled for tomorrow. Several agreements and MOUs are expected to be signed during the discussions.

A dinner in Prime Minister Sharif’s honor will be hosted by President Lukashenko, sources said.

The delegation also included ministers for information, trade, and communications. Tariq Fatemi, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant, was also part of the group.

The visit is aimed at improving bilateral ties between Pakistan and Belarus.
