SAWBI: A proclaimed offender and notorious member of a robbers group was injured during an exchange of fire with Sawabi police on Gul Dara road Sunday night.
According to the details, during the patrol, the police received information that two masked armed men were present at Sher Baz Banda near Jhanda Guldhera Road. Following the information Police under the leadership of DSP Circle Swabi City, Ijaz Khan Abazai, SHO Swabi Police Station, Syedul Amin Khan and a team of police reached the spot. The armed men opened fire on the police party, and later police also started retaliatory action.
During the crossfire, one accused was arrested in an injured condition, and a pistol was recovered from his possession. The arrested accused was identified as Abdullah son of Gul Shad, a resident of Bam Khel, Hal Landi, Karachi, who is a former record holder in various cases of dacoits.
Police recovered the weapon used in the incidents, a pistol with ammunition and a motorcycle, a Honda 125, which were also recovered from the possession of the arrested injured robber.
