Rocket Attack Targets MNA Mubarak Zeb Khan’s House in Bajaur

BAJUAR: The residence of Member of National Assembly (MNA) Mubarak Zeb Khan was attacked late Friday night by unidentified assailants in Bajaur district.

According to initial reports, the attack was carried out using a rocket launcher, causing damage to the property but fortunately resulting in no loss of life.

Local sources confirmed that the rocket struck the outer boundary wall of the house, leading to partial structural damage. The sound of the blast caused panic in the area, prompting immediate deployment of law enforcement agencies.

Shortly after the incident, a police investigation team reached the location to secure the area and begin an initial probe into the attack. District Police Officer (DPO) Waqas Rafiq confirmed that forensic and technical teams are also involved, and a thorough investigation is currently underway.

“We are examining all aspects of the incident, including possible motives and the source of the attack,” said DPO Waqas Rafiq, adding that further details will be shared once more information is available.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. However, the incident has raised serious concerns regarding the security of elected representatives in the region, which has previously witnessed similar threats in the past.

Authorities have assured the public that all necessary measures are being taken to enhance security and bring the perpetrators to justice.
