BANNU: The Bannu administration on Friday arrested several retailers for illegal deduction from the Ramazan financial aid beneficiaries.
Assistant Commissioner, Bannu, Allah Nawaz Khan has arrested several retailers who were illegally deducting payments from the Ramzan financial aid of the beneficiaries.
A statement issued by the Bannu administration on Friday said that after receiving complaints from the public about illegally deduction from the Rs10,000 stipend of Financial aid by the retailers, they took stern action and arrested the retailers involved in the embezzlement.
Remember! The beneficiaries will get the full Rs 10,000, the shopkeeper is not allowed to deduct even a single rupee. The shopkeeper is being paid Rs 65 in advance for providing money to each beneficiary, yet making additional deductions is tantamount to robbing the beneficiaries.
If any shopkeeper deducts money, report it immediately, so that strict action can be taken against him.
Also on the day, eight people were arrested in Mardan for deducting money from the beneficiaries of the Ramazan relief package. According to the district administration, the action was taken in Garhi Kapora, Rustam and Tahat Bhai.
